Steps To Evict A Texas Resident:

Possible grounds for Eviction:
- Non payment of rent or other sums
- Conduct that violates term of the lease
- Holdover (lease has expired and resident has failed to vacate after receiving non renewal)
- Issue a written Notice to Vacate
- File the eviction in the appropriate justice of the peace court
- Wait for constable to either personally serve the tenant or obtain judge’s permission for alternative service
- Attend trial before the justice of the peace
- Purchase the writ of possession if allowed
